People Usually Ask If They Can Be Worn When Suited Up
Of course they’re sharp enough for a full-suit.
While some traditionalists will say “no loafers with suits”, I say if they’re dark, leather and have leather soles, do you!
Although I do agree that lace-ups are more formal and perhaps more appropriate in a conservative business environment.
Bonus Tip: If your
suit is already leaning toward fashion-forward, keep the socks
conservative. A safe rule for “no-pop” socks: one shade darker than your
trousers (unless your wearing khaki pants, in which case it’s one shade
lighter than your shoes).
